Jodi Krangle

Toronto-based Jodi Krangle is the creator and proprietress of The Muse's Muse songwriting website, featuring a free monthly e-newsletter and numerous resources for songwriters. The site has won multiple awards and has garnered attention from major media sources such as Billboard magazine and The Wall Street Journal. The Muse's Muse also puts together an internet radio show called Radio Muse, featuring premier independent songwriters in a variety of musical styles. For the past 13 years, Jodi has been performing with her quirky folk band, Urban Tapestry, which has produced a tape and two CDs. For more on the band, go to www.urbantapestry.org. Nadir

Nadir, Detroit’s funk rocker extraordinaire, has racked up many awards from his solo debut Distorted Soul 2.0. It was crowned “Best Funk Album of the Year” by Soul-Patrol.com and earned a Detroit Music Award, after international spins on Urban A/C, Rock, Urban Contemporary and even Smooth Jazz radio. “Slave,” one of the songs from the CD, was a finalist in the John Lennon International Songwriting Contest, and has led to another CD release: Slave: The Remixtapewhich was a #5 Breakout track on the Billboard Dance Charts. He has won the Detroit Music Award (DMA) for Outstanding Urban Funk Songwriter for the last three years in a row (2005-2007). His fifth DMA was for Outstanding Urban Funk Vocalist in 2006, and he was selected by the editors of Billboard Magazine as a finalist in the 2004 Independent Music World Series among other honors. Andrea Stolpe

A native of Stillwater, Minnesota, Andrea Stolpe is a performing artist, songwriter, and educator. Her songs have been recorded by Faith Hill, Josh Gracin, Daniel Lee Martin, and many others. Formerly a staff writer for EMI, Almo-Irving, and Universal Music Publishing, she authored the course "Commercial Songwriting Techniques" for Berklee College of Music's online songwriting program. In 2007, she released both her first solo CD, Breaking Even, and her first book, Popular Lyric Writing: Ten Steps to Effective Storytelling.
